Maintenance
We are performing scheduled maintenance from 8:00am to 12:00pm, Monday, December 4th, Eastern time. The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 31 of the Atlas, Petroleum Generation and Migration in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 25, Oil Alteration. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.
Alberta Geological Survey created a coal and coalbed methane (CBM) database to capture and manage CBM data. The database compiles different sources and contains information on 7923 wells (15,200 formation picks, 37,357 coal picks, 495 coal analyses and 363 vitrinite reflectance measurements). From this parent dataset, individual coal zone was evaluated. This record describes the Carbon Thompson coal zone's calculated gas content.
This GIS dataset comprises the linear landform features depicted on AGS Map 213, 'Quaternary Geology, Central Alberta'. These features include eskers, meltwater channels, moraines as well as features either parrallel to or transverse to ice movement direction (small ridges, elongated hummocks and depressions, flutes and drumlins).
This GIS dataset depicts the surficial geology of the NTS map area 83P Southwest ( line features). The data are created in ArcInfo format and output for public distribution in Arc export (E00) and shapefile formats.
The Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Region dataset is comprised of all the polygons representing Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Regions in Alberta. Alberta Justice and Solicitor General, Government of Alberta, manages the Fish and Wildlife enforcement services to provide the public and other government departments' information regarding the locations of Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Regions throughout the province.
The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 14 of the Atlas, Carboniferous Strata of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 1, Index Map - Distribution of Uppermost Devonian and Carboniferous Lithofacies Assemblages in the WCSB. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature …
This GIS dataset comprises the linear landform features depicted on AGS Map 207, 'Quaternary Geology, Southern Alberta'. These features include eskers, meltwater channels, moraines as well as features either parrallel to or transverse to ice movement direction (small ridges, elongated hummocks and depressions, flutes and drumlins).
The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 31 of the Atlas, Petroleum Generation and Migration in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 24, Cretaceous Colorado Group Petroleum System. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.
The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 16 of the Atlas, Triassic Strata of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 31, Charlie Lake Isopach and Lithofacies.
This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 13 of the Atlas, Devonian Wabamun Group of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 35, Wabamun/Palliser Structure. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.
