This data release includes fluid saturation results of selected samples for analyses of shale- and siltstone-hosted hydrocarbons. The strata evaluated include the: - basal Banff Formation, - Colorado Group, - Duvernay Formation, - Exshaw Formation, - Montney Formation, - Muskwa Formation, - Nordegg Member, and - Rierdon Formation.
All available bathymetry and related information for Peanut Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary. The data were validated against more recent data (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission 'SRTM' imagery and Indian Remote Sensing 'IRS' imagery) and corrected where necessary. The published data set contains the lake bathymetry formatted as an Arc ascii grid. Bathymetric contours and the boundary polygon are available as shapefiles.
The dataset contains the results of analyses of surface water samples collected by AGS in the summer of 1999. Three lakes, three creeks, one stream and two rivers were sampled as part of a water sampling program carried out by AGS in the Athabasca Oil Sands in-situ area of Alberta. This area extends from approximately 55.34 degrees north latitude to 55.96 degrees north latitude, and 110.5 degrees west longitude to 111.8 degrees west longitude. The datum is NAD83. The dataset contains information on laboratory measured pH and conductivity, major, minor and trace element concentrations, as well as stable isotope ratio …
This dataset is a GIS version of the surficial geology line features for the Fort Chipewyan area, Alberta (NTS 74L) , as mapped at 1:250,000 scale by L.A. Bayrock (Alberta Geological Survey Map 141).
This dataset is a GIS version of Alberta Geological Survey (AGS) Map 146, polygon features, as mapped at 1:250,000 scale. Digitizing was originally done by Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration (PFRA). The data were supplied to AGS by PFRA in Arc/Info coverage format (map polygon features only). Data were subsequently checked and edited by AGS.
All available bathymetry and related information for Isle Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary.
The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 3 of the Atlas, Structure and Architecture of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 11, Williston Basin Phanerozoic Isopach and Structural Elements. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.
The Plains, Northern, Foothills Boundary feature class contains polygon features representing Department of Energy Regional Boundaries for the Province of Alberta.
All available bathymetry and related information for Twin Lakes were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary.
All available bathymetry and related information for Cooking Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary.
