This dataset contains all of the 1:20 000 scale contour information converted from the Provincial Digital Base Mapping Project.

This GIS data set is a compilation of known kimberlite pipe locations for Alberta. The positions are generally known to +/- 500 m or better on the ground.

The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 10 of the Atlas, Devonian Elk Point Group of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 20, Elk Point Structure. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.

All available bathymetry and related information for Lac La Biche were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary. The data were validated against more recent data (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission 'SRTM' imagery and Indian Remote Sensing 'IRS' imagery) and corrected where necessary. The published data set contains the lake bathymetry formatted as an Arc ascii grid. Bathymetric contours and the boundary polygon are available as shapefiles.

Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.

This GIS dataset depicts the surficial geology of the NTS map area 84K southeast (point features). The data are created in ArcInfo format and output for public distribution in Arc export (E00) and shapefile formats.

The Public Lands Camping Pass does not apply in the Kananaskis Conservation Pass area. The pass does not apply to: private, municipal, or federally owned lands. Provincial Parks, Wildland Provincial Parks, Provincial Recreation Areas. Wilderness Areas, Ecological Reserves, Heritage Rangelands, Natural Areas. All acts and regulations will continue to apply including the Recreation Access Regulation that applies to agricultural dispositions. The boundary represents the external boundary of the pass area.

This cartographic quality 1:750 000 scale colour map covers the provincial extent of Alberta and also displays the Alberta Township System (ATS), major hydrographic features, municipalities, major roads, railways and select geoadministrative features (parks, reserves, etc.). In addition to the primary provincial base map, this series includes various themes that overlay the primary base map. Each individual map sheet is provided in Adobe .pdf format. This series is generally updated on an annual basis. This cartographic quality series of 1:1 000 000 scale colour maps cover the provincial extent of Alberta. The primary provincial base map displays the Alberta Township System (ATS), major hydrographic features, municipalities, major roads, railways and select geoadministrative features (parks, reserves, etc.). In addition to the primary provincial base map, this series includes various themes that overlay the primary base map. The update of this map series is based on the provincial Base Features Access Update Program that has an approximate 5 year update cycle. Each individual map sheet is provided in Adobe .pdf format.

Mountain Goat and Sheep Ranges were determined from both observations (telemetry and aerial sheep/goat surveys) and habitat suitability indexes. Goat and sheep ranges have been buffered by 800m to derive zones. Range delineation encompasses use during all seasons.To identify goat and sheep ranges in an effort to: a) avoid land use disturbances that may have a direct or indirect adverse effect on the behavior of the animals, and b) avoid permanent alteration of physical habitat conditions. An area south of Grande Prairie was added to the layer in November 2022.
