Compiled by Alberta Data Partnerships Ltd. (ADP), on behalf of the Government of Alberta, the ATS v4.1 Alberta Provincial Boundary polygon layer contains the polygon that represents the location of the boundaries of the Province of Alberta.
The Environment and Parks Lands Officer Districts dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent the Environment and Parks Lands Officer Districts within the Province of Alberta.
All available bathymetry and related information for Watt Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary. The data were validated against more recent data (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission 'SRTM' imagery and Indian Remote Sensing 'IRS' imagery) and corrected where necessary. The published data set contains the lake bathymetry formatted as an Arc ascii grid. Bathymetric contours and the boundary polygon are available as shapefiles.
All available bathymetry and related information for Hastings Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary.
All available bathymetry and related information for Chain Lakes were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary.
All available bathymetry and related information for Freeman Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary.
The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 24 of the Atlas, Uppermost Cretaceous and Tertiary Strata of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 4f, Schematic Upper Scollard Paleogeography. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.
This GIS dataset depicts the surficial geology of the Dizzy Creek Area (NTS 84N/SE) (line features). The data were created in geodatabase format and output for public distribution in shapefile format. These data comprise the line features of Alberta Geological Survey Map 540, Surficial Geology of the Dizzy Creek Area (NTS 84N/SE).
This dataset is a GIS version of Alberta Geological Survey Map 139, point features, as mapped at 1:250,000 scale.
This 5 class 6 m resolution land cover was created for the NSWA and BRWA in 2020-2021 using SPOT6/7 imagery from 2017 and 2018 provided by the Government of Alberta in order to assess riparian intactness for 25,272 km of shoreline in Alberta. The land cover was developed from 44 separate supervised random forest classifications of 41 different SPOT6 6m imagery tiles from 2017/2018 and was then clipped to a 50 m buffer around waterbodies of interest. The full classification is composed of 41 individual polygon files, each of which corresponds to the original SPOT tile that the classification was …
