All available bathymetry and related information for Utikuma Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary. The data were validated against more recent data (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission 'SRTM' imagery and Indian Remote Sensing 'IRS' imagery) and corrected where necessary. The published data set contains the lake bathymetry formatted as an Arc ascii grid. Bathymetric contours and the boundary polygon are available as shapefiles.
This downloadable data product includes the federal boundary files from previous census years. Data included are the historical boundary files of the year indicated and should not be considered the most recent official boundaries. Layers in each geodatabase include Economic Regions, Census Divisions, Census Subdivisions, Census Metropolitan Areas and Census Agglomerations, Census Tracts, and Disseminations. Current years for the historical dataset include 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011, and 2016. This information is adapted from Statistics Canada, Boundary files in their respective years. This does not constitute an endorsement by Statistics Canada of this product.
This is a GIS dataset containing digitized and attributed polygon features from scanned Alberta Geological Survey Maps 201, 202, 203 and 204. The data show the surficial geology of the Calgary urban area (NTS areas 82O/01, 82P/04, 82J/16 and 82I/13) and are attributed with stratigraphic unit, lithology, lithogenesis, morphology, veneer material and the unit labels as shown on the maps. The data from the four maps are presented in a single polygon layer.
The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 9 of the Atlas, Middle Ordovician to Lower Devonian Strata of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 25, Stony Mountain Isopach and Lithofacies. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.
This GIS dataset depicts the surficial geology of the Meikle River area (NTS 84E/SE) (GIS data, polygon features). The data were created in geodatabase format and output for public distribution in shapefile format. These data comprise the polygon features of Alberta Geological Survey Map 571, Surficial Geology of the Meikle River Area (NTS 84E/SE).
This GIS dataset is part of a digital compilation of the bedrock geology of the Foremost area (NTS 72E). It is one of the datasets used to produce Alberta Geological Survey (AGS) Map 568. This dataset represents the compilation of existing geological maps and original geological mapping by AGS staff. Mapping included field observations and creating three-dimensional models of subsurface stratigraphy based on the interpretation of geophysical logs from oil and gas wells. Each three-dimensional formation surface was projected to a model of the bedrock surface, and the intersection formed the first approximation of the position of the geological contact …
The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 17 of the Atlas, Paleographic Evolution of the Western Canada Foreland Basin, Figure 12, Milk River/Chungo/Chinook Paleogeography. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.
The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 7 of the Atlas, Paleographic Evolution of the Cratonic Platform - Cambrian to Triassic, Figure 7, Devonian Upper Elk Point (DM2) Paleogeography. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.
All available bathymetry and related information for Sandy Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary.
The Riparian Area Assessment of Red Deer River watershed includes the Buffalo, Kneehills, Little Red Deer and Threehills subwatershed. This project focused on assessing riparian habitat along lake, creek, stream and river shorelines. This dataset was created for the Red Deer River Watershed Alliance as a part of a large scale riparian area assessment in Alberta. The overall goal of this project was to quantify and characterize the intactness of riparian management areas in the Red Deer River watershed. Riparian habitat was assessed along approximately 5,285 km of shoreline within the Buffalo, Kneehills, Little Red Deer, and Threehills subwatersheds. These …
