Glacier National Park provides important habitat for a wide range of bird species. As the most diverse land vertebrates, birds are an important indicator of ecosystem health. Yearly data are collected at these sites using audio recorders to determine trends in diurnal avian species abundance by species. Data can provide a number of ecological indices such as the effects of land use and climate change.

In an effort to assess the current state of wildland fire as an ecological process, the Area Burned Condition Class (ABCC) measure is designed to reflect modern-day deviations from historical wildland fire cycles (i.e., frequency). The ABCC was developed as a medium to long term ecological integrity monitoring measure that is fully integrated with the national program of ecological Integrity (EI) indicators, and measures. Calculations of area burned condition class are according to the methods outlined in the Park Canada Agency’s Fire Monitoring Guide.

The Energy Futures series explores how possible energy futures might unfold for Canadians over the long term. Canada’s Energy Future 2020: Energy Supply and Demand Projections to 2050 (EF2020) is our latest long-term energy outlook. It is the first outlook in the series to provide projections to 2050. It covers all energy commodities, and all provinces and territories. We use economic and energy models to develop this outlook. We also make assumptions about technology, energy and climate policies, energy markets, human behaviour and the economy.

The GO Canada initiative is a project that brings together a variety of space weather research tools and infrastructure. This network of ground-based instruments (more than 120 as of June 2019) that monitor space weather over Canada's North collects geospatial data, conducts scientific research and turns scientific knowledge into applications that benefit Canadians. This set of instruments, tools and measuring stations is essential for monitoring the Earth's magnetic field and protecting the population from solar flares.

The proposed resources produce an interactive map (Google Earth) showing where GO Canada tools, instruments and research stations are located across the country. This …
