The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) conducts biosafety and biosecurity inspections to verify organizations’ compliance with the Human Pathogens and Toxins Act (HPTA), the Human Pathogens and Toxins Regulations (HPTR), and the applicable sections of the Health of Animals Act and Health of Animals Regulations (HAA/HAR).
The inspections allow PHAC to determine if an organization meets the conditions of its
Pathogen and Toxin Licence, as well as to identify deficiencies and provide corrective
measures to prevent serious safety risks.
The Work-Sharing (WS) Program is an adjustment program through Employment Insurance (EI) involving employers, employees and Service Canada. It is designed to help employers and employees avoid layoffs when there is a temporary reduction in the normal level of business activity that is beyond the control of the employer.
Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) has compiled data on various metrics related to WS applications and agreements. We have also archived statistics related to the WS special measures for employers affected by COVID-19.

In addition, the results provide insights into Canadians’ knowledge and awareness of new technologies that did not exist or were emerging at the time of previous research. This research will …
