Maintenance
We are performing scheduled maintenance from 8:00am to 12:00pm, Monday, December 4th, Eastern time. All available bathymetry and related information for Beaver Mines Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary. The data were validated against more recent data (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission 'SRTM' imagery and Indian Remote Sensing 'IRS' imagery) and corrected where necessary. The published data set contains the lake bathymetry formatted as an Arc ascii grid. Bathymetric contours and the boundary polygon are available as shapefiles.
The financial, people management and results data presented in the GC InfoBase are periodically updated as new information becomes available. Due to the nature of varying datasets, not all datasets are updated at the same time or on the same periodic schedule. For example, the Public Accounts of Canada is published every fall, while Departmental Plans, are published on or before March 31 each year. Once published, the data must be prepared in an appropriate format to be integrated into the GC InfoBase.
A digital grid of the top of the Empress Fm. Unit 3 sand and gravel, (the uppermost unit in the Empress Formation), where present, or the topography of the surrounding landscape, where Unit 3 is absent. The unit is originally modeled from borehole data and adjusted to the bedrock surface, the surfaces of units 1 and 2 of the Empress Formation, the and present-day land surface. The grid is generated at a 250 m cell-size resolution, based on information as recent as 2003.
The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 17 of the Atlas, Paleographic Evolution of the Western Canada Foreland Basin, Figure 14, Horseshoe Canyon/Scollard/Paskapoo/Ravenscrag Paleogeography. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.
This data release includes fluid saturation results of selected samples for analyses of shale- and siltstone-hosted hydrocarbons. The strata evaluated include the: - basal Banff Formation, - Colorado Group, - Duvernay Formation, - Exshaw Formation, - Montney Formation, - Muskwa Formation, - Nordegg Member, and - Rierdon Formation.
All available bathymetry and related information for Marie Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary.
All available bathymetry and related information for Peanut Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary.
Legacy data centres are older facilities that serve individual departments or a cluster of departments. This dataset contains data on Legacy data centres and includes metrics such as the cumulative number of data centres closed, the number of data centres planned for closure and the square footage of the data centres.
The dataset contains the results of analyses of surface water samples collected by AGS in the summer of 1999. Three lakes, three creeks, one stream and two rivers were sampled as part of a water sampling program carried out by AGS in the Athabasca Oil Sands in-situ area of Alberta. This area extends from approximately 55.34 degrees north latitude to 55.96 degrees north latitude, and 110.5 degrees west longitude to 111.8 degrees west longitude. The datum is NAD83. The dataset contains information on laboratory measured pH and conductivity, major, minor and trace element concentrations, as well as stable isotope ratio …
All available bathymetry and related information for Twin Lakes were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary.
