Maintenance
We are performing scheduled maintenance from 8:00am to 12:00pm, Monday, December 4th, Eastern time. The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 9 of the Atlas, Middle Ordovician to Lower Devonian Strata of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 22, Ordovician-Silurian Subcrop/Outcrop Williston Basin. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.
The Alberta ArcHydro Phase 2 Data was developed to support the delineation of catchment areas in the province of Alberta. It was generated using a DEM which had the Base Stream and Flow Representation (Single Line Hydrography Network) burned (excavated) into it. The data is divided into eighteen major basins across Alberta using an ArcHydro ID to relate the datasets.
The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 8 of the Atlas, Middle Cambrian to Lower Ordovician Strata of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 20a, Middle Cambrian Lithology Sandstone. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.
This GIS dataset is part of a digital compilation of the Precambrian geology of the Alberta portion of the Canadian Shield and Athabasca Basin. It is one of the datasets used to produce Alberta Geological Survey (AGS) Map 537. For the Alberta shield, the compilation integrates detailed mapping by both AGS and the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC) at scales ranging between 1:31,680 and 1:250,000. Geochronological data and interpretations also helped prepare this dataset. For the Athabasca Basin, the compilation incorporates the geology of the basin presented in the ExTech IV volume, published in 2007 by the GSC. This dataset …
All available bathymetry and related information for Keho Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary. The data were validated against more recent data (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission 'SRTM' imagery and Indian Remote Sensing 'IRS' imagery) and corrected where necessary. The published data set contains the lake bathymetry formatted as an Arc ascii grid. Bathymetric contours and the boundary polygon are available as shapefiles.
Sub-regional plans support working landscapes that provide economic opportunities and maintain healthy landscapes by outlining management approaches and requirements for development and human footprint restoration. These plans enable public lands to support the interests of all Albertans, including Indigenous peoples, for the present and into the future. The Cold Lake Sub-Regional Plan Spatial Data dataset contains spatial data that can be used for planning as described within the Cold Lake Sub-regional Plan (2022). The following datasets are available: Cold Lake Watercourse/Waterbody Setbacks, and Cold Lake Recreational Management Areas.
This data set is an updated, GIS version of part of the Alberta Geological Survey's published Map No. 226, which in turn is a regional synthesis of various published and unpublished maps. The data represent the locations of thalwegs (paleo-channels) incised in the bedrock surface.
The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 15 of the Atlas, Permian Strata of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 16, Permian Lithology: Carbonate. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.
The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 17 of the Atlas, Paleographic Evolution of the Western Canada Foreland Basin, Figure 12, Milk River/Chungo/Chinook Paleogeography. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.
All available bathymetry and related information for Garner Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary.
