This grid dataset is part of the three-dimensional (3-D) hydrostratigraphic model of the Sylvan Lake sub-basin in the Edmonton-Calgary Corridor, central Alberta. It represents the net-to-gross sandstone ratio distribution within the Paskapoo Formation - Upper Composite Slice of the Sylvan Lake sub-basin. The Upper Composite Slice is one of three distinct geological domains identified in the Paskapoo Formation of the Sylvan Lake sub-basin model. Characterization of net-to-gross sandstone ratio distribution within the Paskapoo Formation provides information about the geological heterogeneity and potential hydraulic connectivity within the formation for input into a groundwater flow model. The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 10 of the Atlas, Devonian Elk Point Group of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 2, Pre-Devonian Paleotopographic Features. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.
All available bathymetry and related information for Wakomao Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary. The data were validated against more recent data (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission 'SRTM' imagery and Indian Remote Sensing 'IRS' imagery) and corrected where necessary. The published data set contains the lake bathymetry formatted as an Arc ascii grid. Bathymetric contours and the boundary polygon are available as shapefiles.
This GIS dataset depicts the surficial geology of the George Lake area (NTS 84D/SE) (point features). The data are created in geodatabase format and output for public distribution in shapefile format.
The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 8 of the Atlas, Middle Cambrian to Lower Ordovician Strata of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 21d, Upper Cambrian - Lower Ordovician Lithology Carbonates. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by …
This spatial layer displays lakes that have had full or partial surveys, and contains information regarding the dates of those surveys and an indication of the data collected on each survey date
Contains the boundaries of current British Columbia Strategic Land and Resource Plans (SLRPs). The plans can be accessed here. SLRPs provide direction for Crown land use through the establishment of broad land use goals, planning zone designations, objectives and strategies. This layer represents an integrated regional consensus-based process, which requires public and First Nations participation to produce a SLRP for review and approval by government. SLRPs establish direction on land and resource use and specify broad resource management objectives and strategies. Historical plan types include SRMPs, LRMPs, RLUPs and coastal plans. Current, non-retired SLRP boundaries are included in this layer, …

The tree species contained within RESULT's FOREST COVER inventory and silviculture components. This view contains attribute data and is intended to be joined with the other results views to provide additional forest cover polygon species information. This is a part of Silviculture and Land Status Tracking dataset, which includes trakcing achievement of silviculture obligations on Crown Land. Non-spatial attribute data delivered in CSV format
Holds historical data for mineral, placer claims and leases, as well as, coal license applications, licenses and leases within the Province of British Columbia. This layer is utilized by Mineral Titles Online title history on the mineral, placer and coal viewers, respectively.
