This data was produced under contract for Alberta Agriculture and Forestry, Forest Management Branch in 2015-2016. Variables used were elevation, aspect, slope, landscape mesotopography (e.g. ridge, upper slope, etc). LiDAR coverageyielded a resolution of 1m2 pixels. Canopy height was included in this model. In these files there is a report assessing accuracy of the models compared with field observation data. detailed accuracy data by township is available upon request.
Alberta Environment and Parks developed an Interior habitat indicator for the province of Alberta. The indicator is the percentage area outside of a set distance from human footprint, and can be calculated for the entire province or a specific area where human footprint data are available. This dataset provides values for all Hydrologic Unit Code 8 (HUC 8) watersheds in Alberta for 2010, 2014, 2016 and 2018. The distance at which an area was considered interior habitat was estimated using rounded buffers from the edges of the wall-to-wall Human Footprint Inventories produced by the Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute (ABMI).
This GIS dataset depicts the surficial geology of the NTS map area 83N Northeast (polygon features). The data are created in ArcInfo format and output for public distribution in Arc export (.e00) and ESRI shapefile format.
All available bathymetry and related information for Miquelon Lakes were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary. The data were validated against more recent data (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission 'SRTM' imagery and Indian Remote Sensing 'IRS' imagery) and corrected where necessary. The published data set contains the lake bathymetry formatted as an Arc ascii grid. Bathymetric contours and the boundary polygon are available as shapefiles.
These data points are sites visited by Dr. Jozsef Toth during his 1964 to 1969 fieldwork. Dr. Toth is a distinguished hydrogeologist who developed and published his landmark 'Unit Basin' theory of steady state flow leading to the fundamental concept in hydrogeology known as 'Tothian flow system theory'. His contributions to hydrogeology turned the Research Council of Alberta, and subsequently the University of Alberta, into internationally renowned institutions for hydrogeological research. All datapoints relate to the sites in Alberta Geological Survey report INF 143. Field parameters (Temperature, Electrical Conductivity, and Flow Volumes) measured or estimated were retained as attributes to …
The Assistant Deputy Minister of Human Ressources for civilians (ADM (HR-Civ)) is the functional authority and service provider for civilian human resources for the Department of National Defence. This dataset provided by ADM (HR-Civ), pertains to the distribution of tenure for civilian employees at National Defence.
This GIS dataset depicts the surficial geology of the NTS map area 83P (line features). The data are created in ArcInfo format and output for public distribution in Arc export (E00) and shapefile formats.
This GIS dataset depicts the surficial geology of the NTS map area 84B Northwest (point features). The data are created in ArcInfo format and output for public distribution in Arc export (E00) and shapefile formats.
All available bathymetry and related information for Mary Gregg Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary.
This GIS dataset depicts the surficial geology of the Ray Lake Area (NTS 84D/NW). The data were created in geodatabase format and output for public distribution in shapefile format. These data comprise the point features of Alberta Geological Survey Map 557, Surficial Geology of the Ray Lake Area (NTS 84D/NW).
