The 2008-2022 Total Diet Study Food Consumption Tables show the daily consumption of each Total Diet Study (TDS) food composite for various age-sex groups. The source for these consumption data is the 2015 Canadian Community Health Survey-Nutrition Component (2015 CCHS-Nutrition). When paired with concentrations of chemical contaminants in each TDS food composite, these consumption data allow the calculation of exposure of the Canadian population to contaminants through food. These consumption values are applicable to the Total Diet Study years 2008 to 2022. For sample years further out from 2015, increasing caution should be used as the 2015 consumption survey data …

The accompanying dataset contains all transactions catalogued in the Sealed Source Tracking System with annual updates. The SSTS is used in conjunction with the National Sealed Source Registry to track and report the movement of high- and very high-risk sealed sources within Canada. Sealed sources are radioactive nuclear substances that are encapsulated or bonded to a cover to prevent the loss of radioactive contents. Sealed sources are used in a variety of medical, industrial, commercial and academic and research applications. Categories of sealed sources range from 1 to 5, with 1 considered very high risk, and 5 considered very low …
This edition of the Career Handbook includes 939 occupational profiles that provide updated information in the following sections: Lead Statement, Examples of Job Titles, Workplaces/Employers, Employment Requirements, Exclusions, Occupational Options and Remarks. No updates have been made in the Career Handbook-specific content. This means that the profiles maintain the original descriptor scales and ratings for aptitudes, interests, involvement with data/people/things, physical activities and environmental conditions, as developed in the CH 2003.
This counselling resource is used by a wide range of professionals for many applications, and by individuals engaged in self-directed career planning.
We surveyed the presence of four native amphibian species in wetlands throughout the eastern section of Banff National Park. This dataset represents detection or non-detection for each of the four species.
We performed auditory and visual surveys of 60 pre-determined breeding sites . We surveyed each site two times during a sampling period between mid-April and the end of May.
We conducted auditory surveys by recording amphibian calls at the edge of each site for a 5-minute period prior to the visual survey. We conducted visual surveys for a one-hour search time with two observers in order to standardize survey …
Kootenay National Park samples 28 randomly selected potential amphibian breeding sites (out of possible 66) to determine presence or absence of amphibian species. Each of the 28 sites is visited 3 times every 2 years and all detected species are recorded.
Yoho National Park samples 28 randomly selected potential amphibian breeding sites (out of possible 66) to determine presence or absence of amphibian species. Each of the 28 sites is visited 3 times every 2 years and all detected species are recorded.
Birds adapted to alpine ecosystems are often sensitive to habitat and climate changes because of their niche specialization. For example, birds that are specialized to breeding in colder alpine conditions may be outcompeted by more generalist species if warmer conditions arise. Yearly data are collected at these sites using audio recorders to determine indices of bird diversity and occupancy trends to inform management.
"Birds are the most diverse of land vertebrates and are an important indicator of ecosystem health. Large protected areas, such as Banff National Park, provide important habitat for a wide range of bird species. Data collected can provide a number of ecological indices; for example, used to assess the effects of land use and climate change. Yearly data are collected at these sites using audio recorders to determine indices of bird diversity and occupancy trends to inform management.
Note that this dataset has only transect locations. Bird information is not available at this time. "
