All available bathymetry and related information for Fork Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary. The data were validated against more recent data (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission 'SRTM' imagery and Indian Remote Sensing 'IRS' imagery) and corrected where necessary. The published data set contains the lake bathymetry formatted as an Arc ascii grid. Bathymetric contours and the boundary polygon are available as shapefiles.

The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 13 of the Atlas, Devonian Wabamun Group of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 16, Whitelaw Isopach. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.

Geochemical analytical data are reported for 123 Cretaceous rock samples from northwestern Alberta collected by Alberta Geological Survey (AGS) staff from 2001 to 2005. The values for one repeat analysis are included (5602R), making a total of 124 analytical records. The results include analyses of 57 mudstone, 29 shale, 13 ironstone, 6 pyrite (float), 5 kimberlite (including one till clast) and 5 sandstone (including one bioclastic sandstone) samples. Geochemical analyses were performed by Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd. of Vancouver, British Columbia, for a wide range of elements and oxides using the following analytical methods. (a) Method 1EX: four-acid (HF-HNO3-HClO4-HCl) digestion …

The Cold Lake oil sands area - Township 56 to 69, Range 1 to 11, west of the 4th Meridian, falls within the Lower Athabasca Regional Plan (LARP). As part of Alberta's Land-use Framework, LARP was developed in 2012 to set the stage for robust growth, vibrant communities and a healthy environment within the region. One of its implementation objectives is to balance the economic development of oil sands and impacts on the ecosystem and environment. This is to be achieved through enhanced science-based monitoring for improved characterization of the environment and to collect the information necessary to understand cumulative …

The Alberta ArcHydro Phase 2 Data was developed to support the delineation of catchment areas in the province of Alberta. It was generated using a DEM which had the Base Stream and Flow Representation (Single Line Hydrography Network) burned (excavated) into it. The data is divided into eighteen major basins across Alberta using an ArcHydro ID to relate the datasets.
