• The Government of Canada is committed to confronting the legacy of colonialism and addressing ongoing systemic racism.
• A critical component to ending systemic racism is the Government’s work with Indigenous peoples to advance self-determination and the recognition of rights.
• We continue to make progress on rebuilding the Government’s relationship with Indigenous Peoples, a through a renewed, nation-to-nation, government-to-government, and Inuit-Crown relationship based on recognition of rights, respect, co-operation, and partnership.
• We will continue to collaborate with Indigenous, federal, provincial/territorial partners to address anti-Indigenous racism across Canada.
