• Our thoughts are with Survivors, their families and communities as the heartbreaking truth about residential schools unmarked burials continues to be revealed.

• We will closely review the 26 Calls for Truth and Justice released by the Tseshaht First Nation to support the healing of Survivors and communities.

• For the 2021-2023 fiscal years, Canada is providing up to $554,000 to undertake work related to the former Alberni Residential School.

• Canada will continue to work with Tseshaht First Nation to ensure appropriate funding is provided throughout the project.
