• Since 2019, CIRNAC has funded the Indigenous youth-led organization Indigenous Youth Roots (formerly known as Canadian Roots Exchange) pilot program that advances the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Call to Action 66.

• The funding helped build capacity and community among Indigenous youth. Data collected during the pilot will inform the development of the full implementation of this Call to Action.

• Budget 2024 extends the pilot project until 2026. CIRNAC and Indigenous Youth Roots continue to work together to co-develop policy recommendations for the long-term implementation of Call to Action 66.
