Additional Information:

If pressed on allegations of discrimination at CIRNAC
• CIRNAC takes allegations of workplace discrimination seriously and is committed to fostering a work environment that is safe and inclusive for everyone.
• CIRNAC employees who have experienced or witnessed discrimination are encouraged to contact the Office of Ethics and Conflict Management (OECM). The OECM can provide support, explore options and assist employees.
If pressed on the decrease of Indigenous employees
• The decrease in the rate of Indigenous representation at CIRNAC after 2017 reflects the division of programs between CIRNAC and ISC.
• This included a transfer of over 2,000 employees in November 2017 from the former INAC to ISC and the transfer of approximately another 1,000 employees in July 2019.
• ISC now has most of the regional programs and programs that work directly with Indigenous communities where Indigenous employee representation rates tend to be higher.
