Suggested Response:

• On June 3, 2019, the National Inquiry Into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls released its report “Reclaiming Power and Place” which included 231 Calls for Justice for Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQI+ people. This year marks the sixth anniversary of the report.
• Recognizing this anniversary, today we are releasing a government-wide report on work to address the Calls for Justice and on the progress made to combat violence against Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQI+ people.
• This Government is committed to building on this work to address the national crisis. We must urgently work together to end violence against Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQI+ people by making communities safer, bringing justice to survivors and families, and dismantling the long-standing, systemic racism, sexism, and discrimination.
