Background:
The Daylu Dena Council in Lower Post, BC has, for many years, been trying to have their current administration building (a former residential school) demolished, and a new administration building constructed.
The Yukon Regional Office has been working with Daylu Dena Council to explore options to replace the building. Demolition is not the issue, as there are funding sources for this. The issue is finding the funding to replace the building. Yukon Region CIRNAC/ISC has committed $285,000 towards the design of a new administration building.
