• Building the North is as much about people as it is about roads and ports. Access to high-quality education is critical to not only individual success, but to our economic success. Education, especially education close to home, supports resilience and self-determination.

• The Government of Canada has made some strategic investments to support Indigenous and territorial partners with their post-secondary institutions. Budget 2025 will build on this, by investing in the creation of Inuit Nunangat University, Canada’s first University in the Arctic.
