• We are working together with the Government of Yukon and Council of Yukon First Nations to ensure Yukon impact assessment legislation functions as envisioned by modern treaties: efficiently, effectively, and inclusively.
• This includes exploring a combination of targeted actions to create efficiencies, like exempting projects from new assessments where there is no significant change and Yukon First Nations have provided written consent, and longer term work towards a full legislative review.
• Advancing actions for regulatory efficiency in partnership is how we build the North strong and free, together.
