Suggested Response:

• The Government is committed to building the Arctic economy by investing in northern infrastructure and accelerating Nation-building projects that support sovereignty, security and regional growth.

• Partnering with territorial governments and Indigenous partners, Canada will take a tailored, collaborative approach to expediting northern projects—respecting modern treaties and reflecting the region’s unique environmental, fiscal, and governance realities.

• Nation-building projects like the potential Grays Bay Road and Port Project in Nunavut will deliver lasting benefits for the North while reinforcing Canada’s sovereignty and role in critical supply chains and global trade.
