Suggested Response:

• CanNor’s 2025–26 Departmental Plan outlines a $66.3M budget and 124 FTEs to drive inclusive economic growth and resilience in the North by focusing on high-impact sectors such as critical minerals, infrastructure, housing innovation, food security, and fisheries.
• In close coordination with Indigenous governments, local partners, and businesses, CanNor is leveraging Arctic securitization investments, streamlining environmental assessments and fulfilling federal consultation and regulatory obligations through the Northern Projects Management Office.
• CanNor is also supporting Inuit federal employment in Nunavut through Pilimmaksaivik, the Federal Centre of Excellence for Inuit Employment in Nunavut.
