CANNOR – 2025–2026 Supplementary Estimates B

Suggested Response:

• CanNor has current authorities of $78.8 million.
• Supplementary Estimates B will provide an increase of $26.7 million for total proposed authorities of $105.5 million in 2025-26.
• This funding enables continued investments in infrastructure, Indigenous economic development, and community resilience across the territories.

Background:

• CanNor’s 2025–2026 Supplementary Estimates B introduce $24.5 million in grants and contributions, $2.1 million in operating funds, and $0.15 million in statutory funding, supporting strategic investments in territorial economic development.
• Funding allocations include:
o $15.4 million for the implementation of the Defence Industrial Strategy Early Moves and the Domestic Ammunition Production Initiative
o $7.5 million in support of the Yukon Gathering Place
o $3.1 million to support small and medium-sized businesses impacted by tariffs through the Regional Tariff Response Initiative
o $0.6 million towards CanNor’s Northern Projects Management Office
