Question Period Note: One Canadian Economy

• A united Canada deserves one economy.
• Major projects in the territories – including those tied to critical minerals,
dual-use infrastructure, and expansion of hydroelectric grids – hold transformative potential for the North while facilitating business opportunities across Canada.
• We will work to accelerate major projects in the North in partnership with Northerners, including the region’s Indigenous people. Our government continues to collaborate closely with territorial governments and with the region’s Indigenous representatives.
• We will continue to invest in northern entrepreneurial ecosystems, and will engage with Indigenous and
non-Indigenous partners in order to ensure this work reflects the potential held by businesses and communities across the North.
• Our recent progress in advancing the One Canadian Economy will help to facilitate new opportunities for the North as we work to build the region’s economy.
