• In 2026-27, the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency is receiving $134.3 million through the Main Estimates.

• This funding enables the continued advancement of strategic economic development, aligning with objectives to bolster northern supply chains, reenforcing Arctic sovereignty, and strengthening collaboration with public and private sector members, First Nations, Inuit, and Métis partners for continued economic development and diversification in the territories.

o $13.2 million for the Northern Indigenous Economic Opportunities Program
o $7.5 million for the Inclusive Diversification and Economic Advancement in the North initiative
o $4.7 million for infrastructure and business development via the Regional Economic Growth through Innovation program
