Updated messaging on Daesh.

• We are committed to peace and security in the Middle East, and to the enduring defeat of Daesh. We have invested over $4 billion since 2016 to Iraq, Syria, and neighbouring countries Jordan and Lebanon.
• We know the fight is not over and that Daesh continues to present a serious threat as shown by recent and ongoing attacks. However, it is important to acknowledge that Daesh's capabilities - militarily, financially, and virtually - have been severely diminished.

• Under Operation IMPACT, the Canadian Armed Forces contribute to the Global Coalition to defeat Daesh and the NATO Mission Iraq to work with the Government of Iraq, partners and Allies.
• Canada also remains committed to pursuing justice and accountability for the survivors of Daesh, particularly women and girls, to contribute to achieving a sustainable peace.
• We remain committed to working with our partners to support affected communities, and to achieve stability, security and reconciliation in Iraq and Syria.
