• Canada laments the series of attacks in Ecuador. Our thoughts are with all of those who were affected by this senseless violence.
• There are currently no reports of Canadian citizens being directly affected by the violence.
• Global Affairs Canada has updated its travel advisory, and advises Canadians to exercise a high degree of caution in Ecuador and to avoid non-essential travel in some areas of the country, including the province of Esmeraldas.
