Suggested Response:

• Our government is responsible for supporting marine mammals and sea turtles in distress and supports marine mammal incident response networks in all regions under the umbrella of the Marine Mammal Response Program.
• We will continue to work with response partners in Canada to review marine mammal incidents on a case-by-case basis and to consider the latest public health advice.
• And, the Government of Canada continues to take action to protect the endangered North Atlantic right whale.
• While safety continues to be a priority, the measures announced to protect North Atlantic right whales for 2020, including right whale monitoring, are being implemented as planned.
