Suggested Response:
• DFO is making significant strides to manage the long-term health of our oceans through unprecedented investments in marine protected areas, a blue economy strategy for sustainable growth, changes to the Fisheries Act, and a generational investment in the protection and restoration of Pacific salmon.
• DFO will protect and restore our oceans and coasts through the Coastal Restoration Fund, an expanded Ghost Gear Program, the next phase of the Oceans Protection Plan, and the renewal of the Canadian Coast Guard fleet.
