Issue/Question:
Why is the Royal Canadian Navy failing to put in place proper safeguards to ensure the proper handling of sensitive military information?

- National Defence is committed to safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring the safety and security of our people, assets, and infrastructure.
- We are currently investigating incidents related to mismanagement of information aboard the HMCS Montréal and HMCS Fredericton.
- National Defence has recovered all missing documents from the HMCS Montréal.
- Military Police continue to investigate the incident on the HMCS Fredericton.
- National Defence will continue to regularly review and update its policies and procedures to ensure the security of sensitive information.
