Why was a civilian mistaken as a participant in an active shooter simulation exercise at CFB Longue Pointe?

  • No one should be put in this situation.
  • That is why, as part of the investigation that is underway, we are making it a priority to understand the circumstances that led to this unfortunate occurrence, with a view to safeguard against anything like this happening again.
  • While military exercises are important for emergency preparedness, they must be conducted with the safety and security of civilians in mind.
