• We recognize that rural/remote communities face unique challenges in accessing quality mental health services.
• In response to the pandemic, the Government launched the Wellness Together Canada portal and companion app Pocketwell. The WTC portal provides free, 24/7 access to mental health and substance use supports, including self-directed programs, peer-support and one-on-one counselling.
• Moving forward, we will provide $25 billion over 10 years to provinces/territories via tailored bilateral agreements to address shared priorities, including improving access to mental health and substance use services and supports and modernizing the health system through data and digital tools.
