Suggested Response:
• The federal government is committed to ensuring everyone gets the mental health care they need, and that applies especially to youth, who are facing more mental health challenges than past generations.
• Budget 2024 proposes to provide $500 million over five years, starting in 2024-25, for the creation of a new Youth Mental Health Fund which will help younger Canadians access the mental health care they need.
• This new Fund builds on existing investments that will help ensure every young Canadian has a healthy start to adulthood and can reach their full potential.

• Our government is taking a comprehensive approach to ensure that Canadians have the health care they need in order to lead healthy and productive lives.
• We also recognize that in addition to supporting the provinces and territories through the close to $200 billion in new funding, we too support organizations that work on the front lines in our communities providing support to our youth.
• The new Youth Mental Health Fund builds on existing investments that will help ensure young Canadians have a healthy start to adulthood and can reach their full potential.
