Suggested Response:
• Indigenous Services Canada procures and maintains a stockpile of personal protective equipment and hand sanitizer for use in Indigenous communities in the event of a health emergency, such as COVID-19.
• Indigenous Services Canada has on-call staff to ensure emergent requests for personal protective equipment are processed as received and sent to communities using the most efficient courier option.
• As of March 16, Indigenous Services Canada has processed 1,726 personal protective equipment requests. All requests are reviewed and responded to within 24 hours of being received.
