• Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) welcomes the reports from the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) and Conference Board of Canada which estimate the cost of closing the infrastructure gap on reserve, as well as the economic and socioeconomic benefits of doing so.
• Since 2016, Canada has committed more than $25 billion to support closing the infrastructure gap in Indigenous communities.
• Canada is committed to continuing to work collaboratively with Indigenous partners to invest in closing the infrastructure gap, which will benefit communities and build a strong economy.
