• The Government of Canada is always pleased to see its citizens enjoying the benefits of sport.
• Sport brings people and communities together; it has the power to act on our health and well-being, our social networks and our sense of social connection and builds us up.
• The government focusses the use of public funds on the development of policies and programs aimed to support the growth and promotion of amateur sport.
