Federal Budget 2024: Additional Funding to Support Vibrant and Inclusive Communities Related to Canada’s Action Plan on Combatting Hate

Suggested Response:

The Government of Canada is committed to building a more inclusive, safe and fair society for all, where everyone is empowered to succeed regardless of their race, faith, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability.

Background:

Budget 2024 proposes to provide an additional $273.6 million over 6 years, starting in 2024-25 to the Department of Canadian Heritage and $29.3 million ongoing, to continue to support Canada’s Action Plan on Combatting Hate.
