Issue/Question:

The Government of Canada will soon be asked for a decision on its funding and services in support of Canada hosting the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) World Cup 2026 (FIFA Men’s World Cup 2026).

Suggested Response:

We are excited to host the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup alongside the official host cities of Vancouver and Toronto, as well as the host nations of Mexico and the United States.

Background:

In March 2018, the Government of Canada announced its support for a joint bid from Canada, the United States and Mexico (United 2026) for the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) Men’s World Cup 2026.
