Suggested Response:

Canadians have the right to receive a response from telecommunications service providers in both official languages, throughout the country, especially when calling 911.

Background:

On January 15, 2024, news outlets told the story of an IP telephony user in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, Quebec who was unable to make himself understood in French when he called 911 in an emergency.
