Advisory Committee on the future of CBC/Radio-Canada

CBC/Radio-Canada is a pillar of Canada’s creative economy, a key provider of programming made by and for Canadians, and a significant source of trusted news and information.

Background:

On May 13, 2024, Minister St-Onge announced the appointment of an Advisory Committee who will provide policy advice on how to strengthen and renew the CBC/Radio-Canada (CBC/SRC) so it can continue to fulfill its important social, cultural and democratic functions. The Advisory Committee will meet regularly with the Minister to discuss a range of questions dealing with funding, governance, and mandate.
