Role of the TV5 multilateral partnership

TV5 provides Canadians with content that enriches the country’s French-language audiovisual landscape and reflects the cultural vitality and diversity of the Canadian and international Francophonie.

Background:

TV5 was created in 1984 out of a partnership between France, Switzerland, and the Wallonia-Brussels Federation (WBF). Canada and Quebec joined the Partnership in 1986, and the Principality of Monaco joined in 2022.
