Refocusing Government Spending Exercise

Suggested Response:

Our government will always focus tax dollars on the priorities that matter most to people in Canada. In Budget 2023 we committed to lowering spending levels to achieve this. Canadian Heritage has identified reductions to its departmental spending and will do its part to reach this goal.

Background:

Budget 2023 announced a plan that would bring government spending back to a pre-pandemic path, to ensure the Department is investing in priorities that matter most to people in Canada.
