Our government firmly believes in supporting and making meaningful change towards anti-racism, inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility within Canada’s media and arts and culture sectors.

Background:

As part of the Government’s response to invest and scale up efforts to combat hate and strengthen the resiliency in communities, Budget 2024 announced $273.6 million over six years, starting in 2024-25, for Canada's Action Plan on Combatting Hate (CAPCH) to support community outreach and law enforcement reform, tackle the rise in hate crimes, enhance community security, counter radicalization, and increase support for victims.
