OPQ-2940 – Proactive Disclosure Requirements

Suggested Response:

• PrairiesCan takes proactive disclosure requirements seriously. PrairiesCan works to ensure publication within the legislated time frames.
• The Department has developed compliance tracking to support these requirements.

Background:

• Due to differing interpretations of disclosure rules, as of September 12, 2024, PrairiesCan is not compliant with publication regarding two committee appearances. They are:
o May 7, 2024, Standing Committee on International Trade appearance (CIIT); and,
o March 29, 2024, Standing Committee on Official Languages (LANG).

Additional Information:

• PrairiesCan is working diligently to post these appearances by October 31, 2024.
