• The health and well-being of Veterans and their families is Veterans Affairs’ top priority.
• The Government places a high value on ensuring that Veterans are recognized for their military service, and that they receive the benefits and services to which they are entitled. Veterans and their families deserve fair treatment.
• The Government respects the right of Canadians to engage the Courts, and we will respond to the Statement of Claim through that process.
• Since 2015 the Government has increased support, by more than $11 billion, to expand benefits, services, and resources as Veterans transition to life-after service.
• As this matter is currently before the Courts, it would be inappropriate to comment further.
