Reason:
As part of the One SSC approach for SSC to evolve its operations and service delivery, on November 27, 2024, the SSC President announced a major change in the leadership and an organizational realignment with an effective date of January 6, 2025. Furthermore, in May 21, 2025, another organizational changes was announced:
• A new Corporate Services Branch will be formed by the following directorates: Human Resources and Workplace; Security and Real Property.
• The Enterprise IT Procurement directorate and the Materiel Management division previously part of Enterprise IT procurement and Corporates Services Branch (EITP-CSB) will transition under the CFOB that will be renamed Chief Financial Officer and Procurement Branch directorate (CFOPB).
• Also, starting June 9, 2025, the Chief Information Office (CIO) will be transferred to Chief Technology Officer Branch (CTOB). Following the transfer of theses Directorates, the ADM position loses some of its responsibilities, impacting the scope of its job description and therefore the position needs to be reviewed.
• The SSC President wishes to implement better financial control on the department’s spending. Procurement and Materiel Management directorates represent areas of high spending and would be best placed under the CFO for tighter monitoring of the areas of spending.
