Suggested Dataset: Canadian Lighting Detection Network (CLDN) Lightning Dataset

Environment and Climate Change Canada
The Canadian Lightning Detection Network (CLDN) was established in 1998 and consists of over 80 lightning sensors distributed across Canada. The CLDN runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and detects mainly cloud-to-ground lightning strikes. The lightning sensors determine the strength, polarity, and time of lightning strikes from the electromagnetic pulse the lightning produces.
