Purpose:
The President was invited to participate to a panel discussion at the Critical Insight into the public value of Hmanities and Social session (HSS). Canada’s future depends on talent that can navigate complexity, respond to societal needs, and contribute to the public good. This session will explore how HSS education supports these goals by equipping graduates with the skills and perspectives needed in public service, the labour market, and civil society. Panelists will consider how HSS can better align with changing workforce and societal priorities, while highlighting the civic infrastructure, systems thinking, and human-focused approaches that these disciplines offer to help Canada make full use of its talent.
