Bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia; Bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Australia; Bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand; Bilateral Meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia; Bilateral meeting with United States Secretary of State. Travel to Kuala Lumpur to participate in the official visit of Prime Minister Harper. Meeting with Private sector and non – governmental organizations; meeting with the CEO of Petronas gas; meeting with the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Travel to Chengdu; bilateral meeting with the Vice Governor of Sichuan province; visit to the Chengdu research base of giant panda breeding. Travel to Chongqing; one on one meeting with Chongqing Party Secretary; expanded bilateral meeting with Chongqing Party Secretary. Travel to Shanghai; meeting with Shanghai Think Tanks on the Future of Asia; visit to the Shanghai tower in conjunction with, Rowan Williams Davies and Irwin Inc. (RWDI) a Canadian firm of consulting engineers and scientists; expanded meeting with Canadian business leaders; visit to the China museum or Art; meeting with the president of the Fosun Capital Group. Travel to Laos; bilateral meeting with the President of Laos; one on one meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos; Expanded bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos; Working dinner with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos; expanded meeting with Canadian Businesses and non – governmental organizations; visit to, and announcement of support to the Cooperative Orthotic and Prosthetic Enterprise Centre. Travel to Beijing; bilateral meeting with the Executive Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China; meeting with the board of directors of the Canada-China Business council; keynote speaker to the Canada-China Business Council’s Annual General Meeting and Policy conference; meeting with the Vice President of Teck Corporation; meeting with the President of Power Pacific Corporation Ltd.; meeting with Québec Minister Jean-François Lisée; meeting with local academic Professor Zhang; meeting with local academic Professor Liu; meeting with representatives from local human rights organizations; visit to the NAC orchestra’s performance at the Beijing Centre for the Performing Arts; participation with the Governor General’s State visit to China; meeting with the Premier of China; meeting with the President of China; participation in the Bombardier commercial announcement; State dinner with the President and Premier of China.
